Face AI America

Privacy & Biometric Data Policy

Effective date: October 1, 2026

This policy explains how Face AI America handles your photos and the facial measurements made from them. Some U.S. states, including Illinois, Texas, Washington and Colorado, treat facial geometry as biometric data. We follow the strictest of these rules everywhere: we ask for your written consent first, we use the data only for the service you request, we never sell it, and we delete it on a fixed schedule.

Product analytics (PostHog)

We use PostHog in the US to measure which pages and service steps work. We send fixed event names, a random browser identifier, a normalized page address and an optional plan label. We never send photos, facial measurements, scores, analysis results, names, email addresses, payment identifiers or URL query strings. Session recording, automatic click capture and person profiles are not enabled. The identifier is kept in browser storage and a cookie for up to one year.

You can turn off product analytics below. We honor Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track. A successful initial payment is measured on the server only when analytics was enabled at checkout; retries are deduplicated. Blocked analytics, network failures, absent browser identifiers and later subscription renewals are not counted as initial purchases.

1. What biometric data we process

When you use the facial analysis, your browser measures points on your face (facial landmarks or "facial geometry") from the photo you upload. When you create an AI style preview, the photo itself is sent to an image-processing provider so it can generate the preview you asked for.

We do not use facial recognition, and we never try to identify who you are from your face.

2. Why we use it

Only to show you your facial analysis and to create the hairstyle, hair-color, facial-hair and eye-color previews you request.

  • We do not sell, lease, trade or otherwise profit from your biometric data.
  • We do not use it for advertising.
  • We do not use it to train artificial-intelligence models.
  • We do not disclose it to anyone except the providers listed below, unless you ask us to or the law requires it (for example, a valid court order).

3. Where your photos are processed

Facial analysis runs in your own browser. Those photos and measurements stay on your device, in your browser's storage, until you delete them.

When you create a preview, the photo passes through our servers to the provider. Our servers process it in memory only and do not store it.

4. Our providers and how long they keep data

  • Perfect Corp. (YouCam API) creates hairstyle, hair-color, bangs, eye-color and clean-shave previews. Under its business privacy policy, your photo is deleted within 24 hours, the generated preview within 3 days, and biometric data is never sold or used for profit.
  • fal.ai creates beard-style previews and quick style options. We send every request with payload storage switched off, and the generated images are deleted from fal's servers after 24 hours. fal's data processing terms allow it to use only de-identified data to improve its services.
  • For beard-style previews, fal.ai uses an OpenAI image model. OpenAI does not train on this data and may keep it for up to 30 days only to detect abuse, after which it is deleted.

5. Retention and destruction schedule

We permanently destroy biometric data when the purpose it was collected for has been fulfilled, and in any case no later than 3 years after your last interaction with us. In practice the periods are much shorter:

  • Photos and facial measurements on your device: until you delete them (button below) or clear your browser data.
  • Photos on our servers: never stored.
  • Photos at our providers: deleted within 24 hours; generated previews within 3 days. For beard-style previews, OpenAI may keep data for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring only.
  • Account data (email address, credit balance, a log of previews without any images, and your consent records): kept while your account is open and deleted when you delete your account.
  • A one-way hash of your internet (IP) address, used only to limit the free first look (one per connection, together with a random device ID kept in a cookie on your browser): kept for up to 24 months, then deleted. It cannot be turned back into your IP address.

7. How we protect your data

All connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Sign-in sessions are kept in secure, http-only cookies. Our database allows each person to read only their own records, and only our server can change credit balances. Access keys to providers are kept on the server and are never sent to your browser.

8. Advertising measurement (Meta Pixel and TikTok Pixel)

Our website uses the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code from Meta Platforms, Inc., to measure how our Facebook and Instagram ads perform. It records page visits, when you start a checkout, and completed purchases (the plan and the price), together with technical information such as your browser, IP address and Meta cookies.

We also use the TikTok Pixel, a similar code from TikTok, to measure our TikTok ads. It records the same kinds of events (page visits, the free face score, starting a checkout and completed purchases) with technical information such as your browser, IP address and TikTok cookies. TikTok may use this information under its own Privacy Policy, and you can limit it in your TikTok ad settings.

The Meta Pixel never receives your photos, facial measurements or any other biometric data.

Meta may use this information under its own Privacy Policy. You can limit ad tracking in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings or by blocking third-party cookies in your browser. To opt out of this sharing, email us at the address below.

9. Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, and you can delete everything yourself with the buttons below. Depending on your state (for example California, Colorado, Texas, Washington, Virginia or Illinois), you may have additional rights. We do not discriminate against anyone for using these rights. To make a request, email us at the address below; we answer within 30 days.

10. Age limit

Face AI America is intended for adults 18 and over. Please do not upload photos of anyone under 18.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change how biometric data is used, we will update the effective date above and ask for your consent again before your next preview.
